Giving Opportunities
There are a number of ways that you can give to GLCHS,
all of which make a difference in the school’s operations and the students’ experiences.
When you donate, you will have the opportunity to select how you wish to support Great Lakes.
The various funds are:
General Fund
General donations have no restriction placed on them by the donor and will be applied where they will be of the greatest benefit to the school.
Capital Fund
These gifts allow us to make needed campus improvements such as dormitory expansion, text books, and updating our computer system.
Community Service Day
Each year donors are invited to sponsor a student who will commit a day of service in our community; these donations fund student-selected projects that enhance campus life.
LEAD
Regular monthly donors provide solid support for the ongoing needs of daily operations.
Memorial Giving
These gifts are given to honour the life and influence of a loved one.
Partner Funding
This program helps make it possible for us to serve students whose families are unable to meet the total fee obligation.
Pay-for-a-Day
Choose to meet the fundraising needs for one day’s operation with a $2,500 gift. This is a great way to honour a loved one or mark a special occasion.
Preschool
These donations support our Christian Preschool program.

“It was important to me to participate and be on a team while at GL. It added to my school experience because while on the team you got to know your team members outside of school.”

“While on the track and field team I got to try new things I had never done before like discus and javelin along with another girl from a different grade I never really talked to. Because of joining track and field I am now friends with her!”

“Being so involved made me more comfortable and confident, and gave me the courage to take on leadership roles after I graduated. It really helped me come out of my shell.”
